A database library analysis of the Fatality Analysis Reporting System examined fatal vehicle accidents in New York and New Jersey for WCBS-New York, revealing that most accidents occurred during daylight hours in fair weather conditions.

In February, the database library analyzed fatal vehicle accidents data for a WCBS-New York story.

Assistant administrator Megan Means analyzed the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) Data, available from the database library, to count fatalities on highways in New York and New Jersey. She found the majority of accidents occurred in daylight during fair weather conditions.
