KIRO-Seattle in February aired a series of stories about sex offenders living in or close to day-care centers in Washington. The IRE and NICAR Database Library conducted the analysis for KIRO, using ESRI ArcView to map the registered home addresses of sex offenders and the addresses of licensed day care centers.
