Last month, Uplink reported on the Kansas City Star's investigation of the USDA which won the Pulitzer. However we incorrectly reported that the same series won this year's IRE award. We were also in error in stating that reporter Greg Reeves used the software Ninetrack Express to download the USDA's records into his mainframe precessor. Finally, the dirty grain' series which helped spark the Star's main investigation was written by then reporter Mark Zieman and not "Failing the Grade" reporters Mike McGraw and Jeff Taylor.
